On most courses, you can choose to undertake a Work Placement module where you will work in industry, applying the skills you've learnt in the classroom. Most of our courses also offer the opportunity to undertake a Work Placement Year, offering you a fantastic opportunity to broaden your horizons and develop valuable skills and contacts.
At the Business School we have plenty of opportunities for you to boost your employability. Our Enactus programme supports students in engaging in social action and social enterprise, allowing you to work on an existing idea or to develop one of your own with support from our employability experts. We offer students various exciting opportunities to gain hands-on, business-related experience. Our students can participate in national competitions such as the 'The Pitch, a UK-wide Business Plan and Marketing challenge.
A marketing degree opens up a wide range of creative and technical roles. You could specialise, for example, in events marketing, advertising, branding, communications, PR, content and digital marketing. Alternatively, you may gravitate towards market research, analytics and insight, and search engine optimisation.

Studying Marketing at È«Ãñ²ÊƱ means you’ll be joining a welcoming and supportive community. You will get to know your lecturers well, we operate an ‘open door’ policy where students can book a meeting with academic staff and we run regular drop-in sessions for students to come along and ask questions.
You will receive regular pastoral support from your dedicated personal tutor when studying with us. Your personal tutor can help with personal and academic matters, such as creating a study plan, making friends, and point you to a wide range of support services available from the wider University.
