È«Ãñ²ÊƱ now the joint 64th most sustainable university in the world and ninth in the UK according to the annual Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
This marks a strong improvement on È«Ãñ²ÊƱ’s joint 77th global position in 2024, and is the first time the university has been in the top 10 in the UK.
It is an accomplishment made even more impressive considering a record 2,318 universities entered into the ranking system this year.
The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings is the only global performance table that assesses universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using detailed evidence to assess institutions across four areas: research, stewardship, outreach and teaching.
For the first time, Bangor submitted data for 16 out of the 17 SDGs, up from 10 in 2024 – the most comprehensive submission the University has made to date.
